In honor of Georgia Arbor Day, Clayton County Soil and Water Conservation District, the Clayton County Extension Office and Clayton County Master Gardener Extension Volunteers are giving away tree seedlings. The two species selected for this year’s giveaway are Flowering Dogwood and Crepe Myrtle.

Participate in the worldwide Great Backyard Bird Count and learn a couple of things about birding! Follow a bird walk with Pat Pepper. Children are welcome and will learn using binoculars, learn about what makes a bird, their different nesting habits and what to learn from their beaks. Children can also do a birdhouse scavenger hunt, bird bingo or make a birdfeeder to take home.
