The main character in Kimberly Cross Teter’s debut novel, Isabella’s Libretto, is a 14-year-old cellist who lives at the Ospedale della Pietà and dreams that Vivaldi will write a solo that features her.

It will be at the Atlanta Botanical Garden, in DAY HALL. Since the show is indoors, it will occur rain or shine. While the sales are open to the public Thursday thru Sunday, the best time to see the show is Saturday morning thru Sunday when the ribbon judging is finished and the judging teams are out of the way. The show closes Sunday at 4 pm so the vendors have time to take down, drive home out of state, get their plants back in protected warmth and still get to bed at a reasonable time.

Roswell Garden Club to Host Spring Tea
The Roswell Garden Club will host a spring tea and hat fashion show on Wednesday, March 25, from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Roswell Adult Recreation Center, 830 Grimes Bridge Road. Tickets are $25 each and may be purchased by calling Debbie Vann at 770-378-1982. In addition to tea provided by the Roswell Tea House and food catered by the Roswell Garden Club, there will be a silent auction, a Spring bonnet contest, prizes. Proceeds benefit garden club projects.

The children (ages 6-13*) are welcome to participate in a live beehive inspection**, which includes “suiting up” with veil, bee suit, gloves, etc., a creative activity, watching a slideshow presentation about honey bees, helping with honey extraction, honey tasting, show and tell,

The cool, moist forests of the Piedmont’s ravines and slopes support a wealth of spring wildflowers. Students will learn the botanical terminology to identify and describe plants and will learn a variety of tools to identify spring-blooming plants. We will then visit the Dunson Native Flora Garden and learn a number of spring ephemerals and other early blooming plants.
