Join us for a field class at Lake Winfield Scott in Georgia’s Blue Ridge Mountains. We will explore the mid-spring flora from 2800 – 3250 feet, learning to recognize common spring wildflowers of the north Georgia mountains. Though the trail is steep in some areas, we will move slowly for a total of about 2 1/2 miles. Bring lunch to eat on the trail and rain gear. Bathroom facilities at the lake. Directions and meeting place will be provided upon registration. Limited to 12 participants.

Come see nature come alive at night this spring! Each walk will focus on a different topic such as the moon, constellations, or nocturnal creatures. Bring family and friends of all ages along to enjoy the mysterious world of nature at night! Be prepared to hike up to 2 miles on our wooded trails and in the garden. If you have young children or infants, a backpack carrier is suggested. Pre-Registration is required.

During our Let Us Compost Vermiculture Workshop, you’ll build a worm bin yourself, with all of the provided materials and hands-on instruction.
