Explore the plight of animals and plants struggling to survive in urban environments. Topics include tips on planting for pollinators, identifying invasive plants in nurseries, as well as how to live in harmony with wild creatures. Speakers from GA Native Plant Society, GA Dept of Natural Resources/Wildlife Division, GA Forestry Commission, and more! Interested adults and kids age 12 and up are welcome. Agenda ranges from meeting some really cool LIVE neighbors to learning what native plants to use instead of English Ivy, privet and nandina. “Through the Lens” Annual Gwinnett Master Gardener Photography Contest Awards

Gwinnett Master Gardeners share their outdoor adventures as gardeners, naturalists and artists through photos that journal their journeys in 2018. Professional nature photographer Eric Bowles will be the contest judge and presenter, sharing informative and encouraging insights for improving personal photos using smart phones as well as professional equipment. Come at 6:30 and share a dish at our free potluck dinner, or arrive for event only at 7pm.
