Atlanta area garden expert Rick Barnes will present a program on “The Fantastic Ferns of the Georgia Perimeter College Botanical Garden”. Mr. Barnes, a University of Georgia graduate, has had a long association with Georgia Perimeter College (GPC) and with George Sanko, the popular botany instructor credited with developing the horticulture program and gardens at the DeKalb County facility. The group is open to men and women of all ages who enjoy learning more about home landscapes.

The trails at the Botanical Garden offer so much to discover at night, especially during summer—come see the lightning bug display in June and July, search for glow worms and phosphorescent fungus, and hear the frogs, cicadas, and katydids. Each walk will focus on a different topic and we’re sure to discover magical moments each month!
