The morning will begin with a seed-collecting walk in the International and Shade Gardens followed by a session on seed cleaning and storage. A hands-on indoor session will emphasize techniques for propagating native wildflowers and shrubs by seed. Models for inexpensive grow-light systems as well as a propagation timeline will be provided to ensure that your seedlings are ready to be transplanted outdoors in early spring. Participants will leave with several types of seed to propagate at home.

This show will feature dahlia growers from four states entering all sorts of different dahlias from 12″ Dinner Plate to 2″ open centered daisy type dahlias and everything in between. Dahlias have 19 different forms and every color and blend of color except for the color blue.
