Paula Refi is well qualified to be the guest speaker at the Gwinnett Master Gardeners meeting on May 16th talking on “Out-of-the-Ordinary Plants for Shade”   She will take a fresh look at shade gardening and see what’s new beyond the traditional azaleas, camellias and hostas.
Paula holds a Masters Degree in biology from Georgetown University and studied horticulture at DeKalb College. After working for a large landscape firm, where she designed corporate and residential landscapes, she has been a self-employed designer of residential landscapes since 1990.
A Lifetime Georgia Master Gardener, she has lectured at the Atlanta Botanical Garden, the State Botanical Garden of Georgia and the Southeastern Flower Show. She is past president of the Georgia Perennial Plant Association and has published articles in American Gardener, Fine Gardening, Wildflower, and Landscape Architecture.

There will be a covered dish dinner at 6:30. If you would like to eat with us, please bring a dish to share. Otherwise, come and hear Paula at 7:00.
