Wildflower walks start from the hiking trail at Burnt Hickory Road and
proceed toward the Dallas Highway.
This trail is considered moderate. Please meet at the gate at Burnt Hickory Road. Parking is limited, so please carpool if possible. The program is free and
open to the public.
Dr. Mary Meyer will lead these walks and share her 40 years of accumulated discoveries regarding wildflowers, mushrooms, and wood-lore. She is also a nature writer and photographer, having created the photographic CD “Wildflowers of Kennesaw Mountain and North Georgia.” Her interesting walks impart knowledge of plants, fungi, animals and other living things.
