Q: My allamanda vine has what I think are seeds on it. They look like sweetgum seed pods. Is my guess correct?
A: My friend and professional landscape consultant Katie Price says “I used to live in Boca Raton FL and had allamanda shrubs in my landscape. They do in fact produce fruit that looks very much like sweetgum balls. I have saved a bag of them to use “someday” in craft projects. I never planted any of them so I don’t know how easy they are to propagate.”
