Q: Can you please tell me what kind of fungus this is? It is about as wide as the palm of a hand and is shaped like a flower flush to the ground.

“If this was found in the Georgia area, it is probably an Earthstar Scleroderma, Scleroderma geaster.
Note: this is DEFINITELY a non-edible fungus!
