Q: I applied Image to my yard about three weeks ago during early summer cool weather. About a week and a half ago it turned yellow and now it’s dying. The man at the home improvement store said it would kill fescue only, and he gave me an Image pamphlet that listed centipedegrass as safe to use on. Later I read the label on the bottle carefully and it says not to use it on centipedegrass ! What gives?

A: There are now two different Image products.

The Image for Nutgrass (imazaquin) label says:

“IMAGE Herbicide is a postemergent, selective weed killer for use in southern turfgrass and selected ornamentals. IMAGE Herbicide targets the toughest southern weedsǃ
