The Pocket Wildflower Trail
Q: Where is “the Pocket” that Theresa Schrum says has all of the wildflowers?
A: It’s official name is the Shirley Miller Wildflower Trail.
To get to The Pocket, from LaFayette, Ga. take Hwy. 193 west 8 miles to Davis Crossroads. Turn left on Hog Jowl Rd. and go 2.7 miles to Pocket Rd. (just past Mt. Hermon Baptist, slow way down: you can’t see to turn till you are nearly past it!) Turn left onto Pocket Rd, which soon turns to gravel, and go till you can’t go any farther. Park.
Enter the Wildflower Area through the handicap parking area.
