Nice use of English ivy in a landscape

Q: I have been working on my yard for twenty years and have gone through a lot of trial and error. It is hilly and wooded and shaded. I’ve always had ivy for ground cover and have settled with azaleas, hydrangeas and aucuba, with paths around the yard.

A: Wow… What a great looking landscape!

This is a perfect example of using English ivy as a groundcover in a place where nothing else would thrive. I’m sure you have to do occasional removal from paths and shrubbery but that is a small price to pay for having an attractive landscape like this.
