Please help me name this grass. It grows in a mostly shaded area of our property among the trees. It is spreading and I don’t know if I should let it do that. It does not seem to get very tall. The tallest is about a foot and a half. The average is about a foot tall. It does not cause any itch or rash.

Thank you. It is all over in our wooded property. I will be doing more research to decide how to respond to it. Any suggestions for a low light permanent ground cover? Mulch is an option, but I was thinking about plants too.
