Notes:

While walking of one of the recreation paths in Peachtree City, I came upon this. It was oozing from a hole in what I think was a small sweetgum tree. I find it to be a beautiful specimen of whatever it is. Some disagree with me, (particularly ladies) and describe it as tree puke. Can you help me with a positive ID on this?

    Looks like a Lion’s Mane Mushroom. If it is, it’s supposed to taste like lobster when sauteed in butter. But doublecheck with a good mycologist before you eat it! http://thegardeningcook.com/brain-fungi-oddity-of-nature/
