This was first noticed this morning growing in a small patch of ajuga. There’s a mushroom next to it, but is not apparently connected to it. It’s about the size of a golf ball. a fuzzy white surface that easily fell apart when the tape measure touched it. The white substance is also on the leaves of the ajuga directly below the ball. There’s a sprig of green growing out of the top of the ball. Kind of looks like a French poodle with a green hat.
