Notes:

I was given this plant as a gift from a friend who has the mother plant. It has a lovely story to it. Passed on from her great grandmother who received the first plant as a gift when she left the eastern US to travel west in the 1890’s.

Laura735. Thanks so much. It is, in fact, a Cotton Candy fern. I had been looking on the web on and off for about a year now and it is a great feeling to know you put my search to rest. Thanks again.

It’s a very lovely story, thanks for sharing this plant’s interesting history. Although details is too far away & blurry, it looks like a fern plant. I’m guessing yours is one of the varieties of the Boston fern group (Nephrolepis exaltata ‘Bostoniensis’) (?). Sorry, I’m not a fern expert and can’t tell the exact ID for this cultivar. You could try the folks at the American Fern Society for further help. For now check out some of these cultivars in the group. Best wishes!
