Notes:
I think this grew from either some soil or a small seedling while transplanting something from the garden center into my yard. It is perennial as this is the second year it has come back… I don’t think its a weed, but I would like to know what it is…

Large leaf plant looks like curly dock. Some call it a weed and some call it food therefore, it can be eradicated by more than one means: pull it, herbicide it or, knife and fork it. It is also should be noted that the caterpillars of many butterflies also call it food. Harvesting for human consumption should note the presence of aforementioned caterpillars and carefully remove them or heck, enjoy the added protein in your greens.
