Notes:
Can anyone tell me what this is? My fiancs grandmother gave it to me and she couldn’t remember the name of it. Someone told me it was a Camellia but I’m almost positive that that isnt correct.

Looks like flowering almond. This is a lovely ” pass along” shrub that is beautiful blooming the spring.

No date on these pages. I am replying Mar 30, 2015. The plant in the photo is a Prunus. Good that the photo shows flowers. Double flowers aren’t common among Prunus and indicate that this is a cultivar. Flowering so young, so is likely a small plant, a shrub. Look for cv names like “***-plena”. It probably doesn’t set fruit.
