Notes:
Can anyone tell me what variety of Aster this is? It is probably about 42 inches high and 60 inches wide after several years in the garden. Flowers are 1 inch in diameter It has woody stems. It does not seem to reseed…clump just gets bigger every year if I let it. It has been in bloom for about 2 weeks so far. I would like to know so I can see if I can find the same plant in a hot pink.

It’s tough to tell just from these two images. But with its height “42 inches”, I’m guessing this could be something in the New England aster (Symphyotrichum novae-angliae) perhaps? Check it out and see if you have a match. Best wishes! https://www.prairienursery.com/store/native-plants/new-england-aster-aster-novae-angliae
