Notes:
This plant is located in a back lawn to natural area border. It is in a subdivision approximately 20 years old. Its crown and height is about ten feet. The trunk diameter at soil level is about five inches. Is this Northern High bush blueberry? Any guess to how old?

Apologies. I checked the fruit on the bushes that I have. Hangs differently. I was going by the trunk… I used to have some 10 foot+ tall wild blueberry bushes in my previous garden, growing on a water bank… Companion shrubs included native azalea and Chionanthus virginicus. Anyway… I agree with your conclusion of blueberry… Be sure to go back and pick some when ripe… I used to make pancakes… can’t hardly do that with farkleberries… I never get that many.

Beauty…. I just published pics of the bloom in my blog a few weeks ago… Farkleberry (Vaccinium arboreum) http://www.floridata.com/ref/V/vacc_arb.cfm How old? They are slow growing… so… old… 20 or 30 years or more… probably predates the subdivision.
