Notes:

Observed on dry gravel bar along South Fork of Trinity River, Northern California. Plant has many small blue ornate blossoms. Growing alongside Mentzelia (blazing star).

    After looking through the pictures for species in genus Trichostema, I think the flower in my photo looks most like T. laxum (‘turpentine weed’). The range and habitat are appropriate. Thank you, Stone, for pointing me in the right direction.
