Actually… dog fennel… I used to eat small amounts in my salad… until I googled edibility… and most sites said not to eat it… Here’s what Greene Deene says: http://www.eattheweeds.com/pyrrolizidine-on-my-mind/ The plant is still interesting enough to grow… It seems to attract “good bugs” when it flowers… and those pollinators and predatory insects need all the help we can give them. Apparently dog fennel can be used as an insect repellent…
