Have assumed this is a cherry tree, but now not so sure. The disease or pest has attacked this tree for at least the last two years. By early August it looks like a skeleton. What is the tree and disease, and what can I do to prevent the destruction next year? After last summer I thought this tree had not made it, but it came out looking quite full and nice in April/May.
