I got this as a houseplant at Harry’s Farmers market about 1994 and planted it outdoors on the north side of my carport. It spread out a bit and grows to about 6+ ft. high, woody stems that die back to the ground after the first hard frost. The blooms only appear in late November in north Atlanta, some years they don’t get a chance to flower before the frost, other years it blooms for about 4 weeks. The neighborhood deer don’t snack on it and there hasn’t been any significant insect interest.
