Notes:

Can you help me identify this plant please? It came up in our yard under the bird feeders. It could have been a seed in the feed or left by a visiting bird possibly. We noticed the plant around the first week in June and it was about 3-4 inches tall. Last week it was about knee high. We went away for a few days and when we got back it is over 4 feet tall. It hasn’t produced any blooms yet.

Purple bowtie at juncture of leaf stem and stalk is noticeable in your picture. Giant ragweed sightings are pretty common in July. That little sprout can grow to over 12 feet before frost.
