I’m taking a wild guess. Maybe a species of rosinweeds (Silphium). This could be either tansy rosinweed / cutleaf prairie dock (Silphium pinnatifidum) or compass plant / gum weed (Silphium laciniatum). Check them out and see if you have a match. if it isn’t not Silphium genus, re post when it blooms.
