There were 2 naturally propagated plants from my large colony of 26-year old lovely single Lavendar blooms. Each growth was approximately 8 or 9 feet tall.
The colony has been visited every year by many bees, butterflies and also many hummingbirds.
The flowers bear a close likeness to the Helene cultivar; except the crimson center does no display the pronounced spikes on the petals. And finally, the flowers appear to be arranged as a “semi-double”.
Photos were taken last summer after several weeks of blooming – on both of the single plants.
