This is either a large bush or small tree – about 20 ft tall and 15 around and second is about 2/3 that size. It is in flower now and the leaves remain year around Flowers are somewhat fragrant but I don’t remember the fruit unless it is some berry What is it?

Also known as devil from hell. Very invasive plant. Use bulldozer, dig up and burn.

More research determined it to be a Carolina Cherry Laurel … native shrub / tree evergreen with fragrant flowers and little purple berrys
