Foam on Hickory tree

« Back to Name that Plant

Notes:

This foam is on a one trunk of a multi-trunked hickory tree, about 1.5′ from the ground. Gnats and ants like it. Lots of little bubbles at the top. Any help identifying cause and a fix is appreciated.
