Notes:

Our garden is really picking up steam, but the other day we picked a squash from our plant that looks more gourd than crookneck. Examining the plant there appears to be some damage to the stalk. I should have caught it sooner, but the foliage on the plant is so thick it was hard to get to. Checking a nearby zucchini plant I found much the same condition. Is this a job for Sevendust, or something more severe?

    The “gourd” looks like an over ripe squash to me… I’d add to the compost. There’s not much point in trying to save the squash plants… I’d pull them and make room for the next crop. You can plant more squash, if you want…. But I’d plant them a good distance away from where you had the first crop planted… Plant some beans or something in the bed where the squash were growing. Plenty of time… My squash plants look the same… I pulled them… I have blooms already on the next wave of squash….
