Notes:
Plant 1 is on full north side of building so not much sun, but it seems to not need much sunshine. Only other plants that seem to survive here are Virginia Creeper and Cherry Laurel pests. Plant 2 is a gang of 4 ranging from 2 to 4 foot tall. Plants are in a north/east nook bed that gets east sun. These guys and the Virginia Creeper are outpacing the home boys – Gold Dust Aucuba and Lenten rose. VC is coming out, what about the gang.

I can’t see enough details on the leaves for plant 1 to be certain. It maybe a species of hackberry (Celtis). Hackberry is in the Ulmaceae family. I am guessing only, this maybe Celtis occidentalis. The gang of 4 look like some species of Ash (Fraxinus). I am only guessing here, maybe Fraxinus americana- American Ash/white ash.
