Notes:

The only thing I know about this tree is that it is presently blooming profusely in NC. I’ve GOT to have the name of it and if it’s hardy in Zone 8!

haha . .we all have a brain hiccup every now and then. But mine are coming too frequently! I purchased two of these trees and hopefully they’ll be in soon. Thanks again for your help!

Thanks again Dixie911. After much research, with help from my sister, we found that you were right. It is an ornamental cherry tree. And we also decided it is a Kwanzan.

Thank you very much, dixie911. Yes, your comment helps very much. At least I can narrow my search. And with a show this beautiful, it’s worth a 50-week!!!

It is a type of Japanese Cherry Tree. There are several varieties and I’m not exactly sure which one. I have a beautiful one in my front yard in Nashville, TN. They are actually blooming everywhere here. Unfortunately they only bloom for less than 2 weeks so you have to wait 50 weeks for another bloom. But they are beautiful. HOpe that helps.
