Notes:

I transplanted an azaela that had rooted itself from a limb in my wife’s grandmother’s yard in Marietta, GA. The azaela died, but this plant grew in its place. It is evergreen with soft limbs, and late this spring has produced a few small yellow flowers (seen in one of the photos). The current size of this plant is about 2 feet in diameter and 8″ tall.

    Looks like St. John’s Wort. Post a close up of the flowers to be sure!

    If that is what you have, it is a very nice ground cover.
