Walter Reeves The Georgia Gardener says:
is it a houseplant or a nursery plant you haven’t gotten around to planting yet?

Elizabeth Unregistered says:
This plant is a potted indoor plant. I have had it on my deck most of the summer, but my friend that gave it to me said the original sat on her desk and grew to about 12″ high. She rooted several from cuttings and gave me one, but she has never known the name. The pictured plant has the tiny white blooms in 3 places below the end leaves, and the blooms that have fallen away have left the tiny round berry that is still green at this time. Thank you for any info you can give.

Talked to my friend again and learned that the plant was given to her in the 1970′s when whe worked at the Atlanta General Depot (Conley) The gentleman that gave it to her had bought it at the PX on the base. Interesting!!

It looks like it might be a coffee plant (Coffea arabica) Since I’m not from South America I can’t be sure.

What about viburnum odoratissimum aka sweet viburnum? Looks a lot like one called awabuki.
