This green slim is starting to take over my lawn.
It is very slippery when wet. And then it dry out and becomes crust when the sun dry it out. But when it get wet it comes right back

I have seen this many times on over-watered, compacted soil. If this describes your situation, cut back on the irrigation, aerate, top dress and fertilize. Healthy grass will consume excess water better.

In addition to cultural procedures you can also try Bayer moss and algae killer available at lowes.

I’ve got this crud also. It’s jello-like in texture.
We live near Milton H.S. in Alpharetta, GA
The more I try to rake it up or suck it with a vacuum the more it spreads. I noticed it a few years ago as a small patch about the size of your hand and it’s spread oubout 20 yards in all directions.
