Notes:
The first two images are the sapling in my flower bed. The last image is a Hazel Bush. Note the growth on the stem in the 2nd image compared to the Hazel image. The saplings were approximately 3″ tall in May and now stand over 12″. As it grows the leaves become quite large. I think I might have some Hazel saplings!

I see sycamore as a possibility, but not Paulownia. Regarding Paulownia: it is an aggressive invasive. The flowers are beautiful, but they produce numerous pods which are an ugly brown and persist on the tree for a long time, and release lots of downy floating material like a dandelion does.

Aafter researching the Paulownia tree, I hope that IS what I have in my flower beds. The blooms are beautiful. I will move the sapling in the far back area of my property where I can somewhat control the invasion of saplings. I will keep you all posted as the sapling continue to grow. Thanks all of you for your help!

I still think it’s Paulownia. That grows very quickly and can be quite aggressive.
