Not able to see the plant’s leaves clearly. I’m guessing only, maybe a type of barberry (Berberis). This might be one of the cultivars of the Japanese barberry (Berberis thunbergii) group. Check it out and see if you have a match. It it is not barberry, please re post with close-up of the leaves.
