Invasive shrub with white flowers | Walter Reeves: The Georgia Gardener

Name that plant

This plant blooms every year in late February or early March. ItÕs shrub-like but can get very large. ItÕs rather invasive.

The leaves & flowers details are not to clear to be certain. I’m guessing maybe something in the pearl bush (Exochrda) perhaps? Check it out and see if you have a match. The included link below is for one in the genus, the Turkestan pearlbush (E. korolkowii)-. Again I’m only speculating. If this isn’t the genus, please resubmit with closeup photos of base of the trunk, fruits (if there were any), also better focus images of leaves & flowers.
