I have several Hypericum shrubs like this that I have grown both in Lawrenceville and in Clayton, GA in the mountains. Doesnt mind pruning. Easy to grow.

It’s a Hypericum. There are quite a few mid-sized shrubby species that look similar. Could be Hypericum choisianum ( http://www.pictureimage.photo/photo-hypericum-choisianum-61547.htm ).
