2 years ago there was a angel trumpet here. in spring this started growing but no flowers appeared……should i cut down or…???????

It looks like angel trumpet to my eyes. According to sources, blooming cycles is from mid/late summer and fall. Also angel trumpet like to be well watered for setting flowers.
