Is this a Princess Tree Sapling? (ID complete)

Notes:

This plant sprung up this spring and grew almost 3 feet so far. It has leave about 12in in diameter and pairs of leaf stems are opposite each other as can be seen in the second picture above. It’s stem is not woody but the leaves look kind of like a couple Princess Tree identifications I’ve seen in these posts. Help confirming or its correct ID would be great. Thanks!

Well, I think I have self-identified it as the Princess Tree. I had thought it just had a green stalk like a ‘plant’ but today I checked and the stalk was hardened and woody like a tree. It was so well entrenched in the ground that I couldn’t pull it up. I cut if off and may have to dig up its root if it springs up again.

Yes it is…Paulownia tomentosa http://www.nps.gov/plants/alien/fact/pato1.htm If you cut it down, brush undiluted Roundup on fresh cut stem to kill it.
