Notes:
My friend sent me this picture this evening, hope you can help us name it. When she was given this plant she was told it was a Jeremiah Bush, it blooms ten o’clock pm and last until nine or ten the next day. It has survived for several years in her yard on the east side of her house. Last year her 100+ year old house was blown away (except for a few rock walls, by a tornado, but still the plant lives. Hope you can help

Oenothera biennis, a biennial, is the picture I sent to her. She said that was it exactly. Glad to see we were on the same page with the primrose. She is very happy to finally have a name for her beloved flower. Many thanks Bobby!

Good grief! Sorry about that non-existent link bullfroghollow. Try this one http://www.walterreeves.com/name-that-plant/not-yellow-canna/ As you say it has the look of primrose.

Something says Evening Primrose to me, but I can’t find one that matches. What is your opinion on that?

bullfroghollow this previous post addresses the same or similar plant. Maybe it will help in the search.
