This plant is a “volunteer”. Came up next to the house. About 8 feet tall with a woody tree-like trunk. Leaves are about 10 inches long by about 8 inches wide.

I believe this is another case of the Paulownia tomentosa. Also called the Purple Empress Tree. They are committed volunteers, and unless you want quite a bit more of them, I recommend removal. They are quite invasive, which is sad, because they are fast growing and have a unique look to them that appeals to certain landscapes. However, with their invasive potential, they will become a headache in the future.
There was a smaller one identified in a recent post a couple of weeks back where there are links to several websites detailing these trees.
