I saw these two plants at the LA Welcome Center but the young ladies did not know the names of the plants. I think the second plant is a mum but it looks like a shasta daisy.

The purply one looks like gomphrena, the daisy type is probably some sort of chrysanthemum.

I would guess the white one is a chrysanthemum also.
