Can you help me identify these mushrooms? And are they poisonous? We have alot of rabbit manure and vegetable / fruit scraps in our garden. Today it rained all day and these came up. They weren’t there yesterday. Thanks for your help!

Laura, I did e-mail the Gulf States Mycological Society and attached pictures of the mushrooms. They said they are Lepista nuda, common name Blewit. I sure appreciate your help, and theirs!

You’re welcome. You can get help with the right ID from the folks at the Gulf States Mycological Society. Here is the link to their web site. http://gsmyco.org/

I am not a mushroom expert. These look like some type of gilled mushroom- Pleurotus . You should try the experts from the Gulf States Mycological Society. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pleurotus
