The more that I learn about the croton plants… The more that I like them. I discovered croton capitatus growing on the edge of one of my gardens in town a few years ago…. And transplanted some of it to my garden for observation. This year… I noticed caterpillars on the original patch… Did a bit of research…. http://butterfliesofamerica.com/anaea_andria_live2.htm Very cool looking butterfly! There’s supposed to be 30 or so species of croton / doveweed in your area…. Considered a valuable wildlife plant… So… I hope that you discover an appreciation for this neat family of plants…
