Notes:
I don’t know much about it, a coworker had it for a long time and gave it to me because he doesn’t have time for it. I know its labeled as a bonsai but there’s no way that’s what this thing is. I want to make sure I’m tending it properly so I’d like to know what type of plant it is.

That’s what I was hoping to be able to do. I like the fact that they grow slow so I can accommodate as necessary. I would love to see them grow as big as some of the ones I’ve found online. Im not sure how old this one is but im guessing its still a “”baby””. Im thankful too that this kind is so low maintenance since I stay rather busy. Thank you for your comment. I hope its an easy transition once I do it

You could separate them into individual pots and let them grow to be enormous, but fortunately they are fairly slow growers.

thank you MrsB! After posting this I did some research and found out that its definitely a ponytail palm. Now im just trying to figure out if I should separate the plant into small planters to give each one room to grow, seems like it has a few plants in one
