Notes:
Growing in my friend’s flowerbed in Minnesota. She doesn’t know what it is, and is trying to identify it. I’m leaning toward a Hollyhock…but I’m not sure.

Yep, any plant that appears with out your help is usually turns out to be a nightmare to weed out later. Even it has pretty or fragrant flowers. Still pulling my own insidious volunteers :(!

Maybe something in the Leonurus genus. This might be motherwort (Leonurus cardiaca). Check it out and see if you have a match. Best wishes! https://www.google.co.jp/search?q=Leonurus+cardiaca&tbm=isch&tbo=u&source=univ&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwiGp_3z8u3LAhVi5qYKHeDSDxEQiR4IgAE&biw=1366&bih=601#imgdii=sifb5Fr78ZbDrM%3A%3Bsifb5Fr78ZbDrM%3A%3BeABUArR6Qa_Y1M%3A&imgrc=sifb5Fr78ZbDrM%3A
