Mystery Purple Flowers?

We have had these coming up in our yard for about five years. Their roots go very deep. We always mow around them until they do their thing. Don’t know if they are a wild flower or a weed.

    Wow, interesting. Looks like a cross between centaurea and allium with a little thistle thrown in. Would love to know if you found out yet.

    Looks like a type of Camassia. Maybe Camassia leichtlinii.

    OOps! Strike the Camassia. It should be Tassel Hyacinth (Leopoldia comosa aka Muscari comosum).
